Barrington has an extensive network of public rights of way / footpaths which are maintained by a small group of volunteers; the footpaths are shown as red dotted lines on the map above.    Maps of the footpaths can be found in the church and a large display can be found outside the church and at the village hall.  A number of circular walks from Barrington with maps can be accessed from the navigator pane to the left.

For details of other walking routes in South Somerset visit the Moving Forward website or Somerset Ramblers  or Shepton Beauchamp Ramblers websites for details of group walks in the local area. View the Walks and Trails in Somerset page at website for details of all footpaths.

To report a fault with a footpath use the Somerset County Council Interactive Map on   (or call directly to the Rights of Way department at Somerset County Council on 0845 3459155 to report a fault.)

Please help to keep the footpaths accessible to all users by ensuring that all litter is taken home and no dog mess is left on or in the vicinity of the footpaths (not only is dog mess extremely unpleasant and anti social it is also a danger to farm animals and can ruin hay/silage if left on grass fields) and observe the Countryside Code at all times.  Please report any problem with a footpath to the Parish Footpath Officer.
