Hello from New South Wales, Australia! I've recently been doing some research into my family tree and found many of my Morris relatives are from Barrington, though they left for Australia in 1846-1855. I'm quite interested in visiting Barrington one day and your lovely site has only strengthened my resolve. All the best and I hope to visit one day soon.

Hi. I was very interested in reading your history pages download which showed a tendency for Christian non-conformity in the 17/18th century. I was looking at your site as I am visiting Barrington in Illinois in December 2013 whose own history pages at www ci barrington ri us say, Hence, in 1717 Barrington was incorporated. It was probably named after Barrington parish in Somerset County, England, from which most of Barrington's early settlers came. This sort of makes sense - is there any known history of pilgrims travelling to the USA from Barrington around that time that affirms their thoughts? Any response very gratefully received!
